ALERT: 40+ Week Supply Chain Delays Will Impact Your Commercial Operation Targets
Trimark is Committed to Helping Contracted Projects Navigate Challenges in Supply Chain
Folsom, CA, January 26, 2021 – Multiple equipment vendors have extended deliver dates for meters, network devices and other computing hardware that power generation resources require for regulatory compliance.
“If you need meters this year, you need to order them now,” said Mark Morosky, Trimark’s CEO and President. “Vendors are now telling us that essential equipment will be shipped in 12, 32, even 40 weeks. In some cases, vendors don’t know when they can commit to having a shipping date. Even simple devices that are traditionally available off the shelf, like power supplies and circuit breakers, are now projected to deliver three to four weeks out.”
While complex global supply chains are out of Trimark’s control, the company is working hard to expedite delivery. One way to address these issues is to execute project contracts and order equipment much earlier than we have in the past.
“We are now ordering computing equipment as soon as possible after we sign our contract,” emphasized Morosky. “However, delays in contracting will have a direct impact on equipment availability. As a preferred vendor for equipment manufacturers, Trimark is in as strong of a position as possible to support our client’s projects.”
