SGIP is the self-generation incentive program run by the state of California. Trimark’s responsibility in this project was the overall coordination of metering locations appropriate for SGIP data requirements, hardware specification, subcontractor management, and performance data provider services for SGIP. SGIP is unique as the important data is all local to the plant operation and Trimark was not required to interact with the grid. Payments from SGIP revolve around how much power is created at the approved generator and how much load it took specifically to run that generator.
