Trimark Continues Meter Service and Certification
Folsom, Calif. – Confusion over CAISO’s recent changes to meter inspection rules has left some resource owners wondering who can conduct annual meter maintenance and verify meter accuracy.
“To resolve any misunderstanding on this new rule, if Trimark certified your CAISO revenue meter originally, we can continue to perform maintenance and annual meter validation under our service contracts,” said Mark Morosky, President of Trimark Associates, Inc. “This practice ensures the integrity of revenue metering.”
During the annual meter inspection, Trimark’s meter professionals verify calibration, change batteries and provide other maintenance services including verification of the meter calibration and CAISO certification. Because these meter inspectors are familiar with the specifics of the meter’s program, resource owners will avoid introducing irregularities that could ultimately require time and money to correct.
“Trimark’s CAISO meter inspectors have a fiduciary responsibility to defend the interests of CAISO,” said Morosky. “They are bound by their agreement to conduct themselves with the highest ethical standards. Their objective is to provide the most accurate metering system possible in order to facilitate full compliance with the CAISO BPM and Tariffs.”
Trimark has a 14-year history of inspecting, certifying, and maintaining CAISO revenue meters for resources ranging from one megawatt solar generation to 2.3 GW nuclear facilities. Trimark also provides meters used to monitor wind, hydroelectric, biogas, geothermal, and natural gas based generation.
Trimark employs seven of the 16 commercially-active CAISO meter inspectors.
