Trimark Partners With Azelio on North American Energy Storage Projects
The collaboration covers over 45 MW of Azelio’s energy storage through 2025.
Folsom, CA, June 25, 2020 – Trimark Associates, Inc., a leading provider of SCADA, metering, and energy storage technology solutions, and Azelio, a well-known name in the solar power industry, announce that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that covers more than 45 MW of Azelio’s energy storage projects.
Per the MoU, the first of these projects will begin in 2021, with an initial target of 150 kW. This will ramp up to 3 MW in 2022, 6 MW in 2023, 12 MW in 2024, and 24 MW in 2025. Trimark will be the system integrator on these projects—which both parties believe will serve as a pathway to an extended collaboration.
The MoU lays the groundwork for what looks to be an exciting partnership, given both parties’ respective backgrounds. Trimark, headquartered in California, has considerable experience navigating the North American market. This will prove useful for Azelio, who continue to set their sights on projects throughout the continent. Likewise, the Sweden-based Azelio brings exciting innovation and a large pipeline of projects to the table, providing Trimark with a unique outlook on the path of the industry outside of the US and Canada.
Needless to say, both Trimark and Azelio are greatly anticipating these projects. In Azelio’s own press release, CEO Jonas Eklind expressed that Azelio is “excited to work closely together with one of the industry’s most experienced companies,” lauding Trimark’s “innovative approach to energy system controls.” Mark Morosky, CEO of Trimark, also voiced his excitement, noting that Azelio’s long-term energy storage plans “[align] with Trimark’s vision of Greening the Grid.”
