As your partner, we’re committed to your success from concept to commissioning. Here’s why a unified and comprehensive solution matters:
- Eliminate Surprise and Delay. We help you develop a comprehensive technology scope and realistic schedule that considers PPA, LGIA, CAISO BPM, and other requirements. That ensures that you procure the right systems and services with sufficient time to accomplish the work.
- Avoid Gaps and Overlaps. Complex projects requiring multiple parties often miss important elements. Trimark’s streamlined, comprehensive scope helps you stay on schedule, minimize change orders, and avoid redundant purchases.
- Realistic and Coordinated Schedules. We help you anticipate regulatory hurdles (e.g. CAISO/ Utility submissions), supply chain realities, and construction dependencies that can delay COD.
- Complete Solutions. Our unified approach includes consulting, project management, design engineering, computing hardware, software, networking devices, control engineering, configuration, field installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and ongoing support.
- High Quality Outcomes. Our experts connect all the pieces and parts into a unified solution for ease of use, reliable operation, and optimal maintenance.
As critical infrastructure, “utility-scale” resources are designed to earn revenue, meet strict regulatory requirements, and operate in harsh conditions. That’s why Trimark builds our systems to be durable, reliable, secure, and support market participation. As a result our systems are trusted by some of the largest generation resources in the world, including:
- Edwards Sanborn: Largest Combined PV+BESS project in the world; 1,118 MW PV Generation, 2.165 MWh Battery Storage
- Helms Pumped Hydro: Largest Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Plant in California; 1.212 GW
- Alta Wind: Largest wind power generation plant in California; 1.55 GW
- Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station: Largest Power Plant in California; 2.256 GW
Selling electric power and ancillary services requires reliable systems for accurate metering, dependable telemetry, and optimal control.
After commissioning, Trimark helps you keep your SCADA, metering and telemetry systems operating at peak performance. We maintain and troubleshoot equipment, recertify revenue meters, and watch for trouble. If an outage occurs, we notify you, create an exemption, and take corrective action – often before CAISO tells you there’s a problem. That helps you avoid penalties and get back to making power.
From its founding in 2000, Trimark has pioneered solutions to the energy sector’s complex compensation, control and communication challenges.
When the industry needed secure, bi-directional data telemetry, we developed and produced a CAISO-certified Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG). It’s built on industrially hardened hardware and rock-solid software. Trimark’s RIG supports compliance for more than 300 generation resources.
Our pioneering work in metering supports equitable compensation for highly complex interconnections. Our advanced metering solutions keep settlement and loss values straight in situations that require peer-to-peer communication, dynamic loss compensation, and DC metering.
We built the first utility-scale SCADA software designed specifically to control photovoltaic inverters and battery storage resources. Its master plant controller unifies management of PV and BESS; executes AGC and ADS requests; and automates control of real and reactive power, Volt-VAR, frequency, capacitor bank, and MESA-DEC compliant scheduling.
We’ll tackle the next big challenge too – bring it on!
Purchasing. Trimark leverages long-term relationships with equipment manufacturers to ensure reliable product supply. Our preferred status means our vendors often dedicate a portion of their stock to meet Trimark’s needs.
Production Facilities. Trimark operates production facilities in El Dorado Hills, California and Norfolk, Virginia. There, systems are pre-assembled, preconfigured and tested. Our fabrication and assembly processes meet UL and NEC requirements, owner’s specifications, and our strict engineering standards.
Quality Control and Documentation. Trimark has adopted thorough hardware and software testing practices to support consistent quality. From component receipt through system delivery, each item is tagged, tracked, and photographed. Our quality program includes unit testing on the bench, factory testing for assembled systems, and a full system test after installation.
Field Installation and Support. Our experienced field technicians install and test equipment following a thorough checklist. We record as-built status and condition at delivery. Our field teams provide routine on-site maintenance and warranty replacement services to support uptime and maximize revenue.
