Chen “Leo” Liang Joins Trimark as Principal Meter Engineer
Trimark Associates, Inc. is proud to announce that Chen “Leo” Liang, MEng, P.Eng, has joined the company as Principal Meter Engineer. With over 15 years of global experience in power systems and revenue-grade metering, Liang brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership to Trimark’s engineering team.
Liang has led metering programs across North America, Europe, and Asia, specializing in CAISO compliance, SCADA integration, and peer-to-peer metering. His deep knowledge of ION8650 and SEL735 meters, combined with his experience in transformer-based installations and advanced programming logic, positions him as a key contributor to Trimark’s mission of delivering precise, reliable energy data solutions.
Prior to joining Trimark, Liang held senior engineering roles at NextEra Energy, BC Hydro, and Schneider Electric, where he developed metering standards, authored technical manuals, and supported complex intertie and transmission projects. His background also includes EMS/SCADA system development and global technical support leadership.
Liang experience, technical depth, and commitment to excellence will strengthen Trimark’s metering capabilities and enhance the value Trimark provides its clients.
Liang holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering Technologies and is a licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia. He is also a graduate of the Northwest Electric Meter School and certified as a Professional Energy Manager. Outside of the office, Liang has a 10-year-old daughter. In his spare time he is a CSIA Level 2 ski instructor and also enjoys traveling, badminton and hiking.
